Thanks for taking a look at Behind New Orleans Closed Doors, a blog in which I will record my attempts to gain entry into some of New Orleans most exclusive spaces. My plan is to try to gain an invitation to visit New Orleans most exclusive private gentlemen's Clubs, most especially the Boston Club at 824 Canal Street. I'm facinated that these local institutions have survived for over 100 years and it seems as though no one knows anything about them. While the term gentleman's club is frequently used as a euphamism for strip club, rest assured I am solely looking for the traditional men's social and recreational clubs that pop up throughout the French Quarter and CBD. My curiosity has gotten the best of me, so any tips, tricks, advice or criticism along the way is appreciated. I'm looking forward to the ride, and I hope you are too.
